Reptiles

 Reptiles can make great pets! They are well suited to today's hectic lifestyle, and at Surrey Water Gardens we have the areas largest and most varied collection of snakes, lizards and tortoises you will find. We have a dedicated Reptile Room with over 65 fully stocked vivariums.  Not to mention a purpose-built constrictor display room which houses our largest snakes and our hatchling/growing-on racks for all our youngsters.

 We stock all the popular breeds such as Cornsnakes, Leopard Geckos, Uromastyx, Bearded Dragons, Water Dragons, Royal Pythons and Horsefield Tortoises.  We also have Rainbow Boas, Carpet Pythons and Hogg Island Boas for the more experienced keepers.   We breed our own Cornsnakes and Bearded Dragons and because of this, we know we are offering only the healthiest, captive-bred babies of these species.  In this next year we are looking to expand our stock of Royal Pythons by breeding some different colour morphs and are also hoping to do the same with our recently purchased red and orange Bearded Dragons. 

 Our policy is never to sell any reptile that has not been fed by us for at least two weeks consecutively and we will never knowingly sell a reptile to go in to unsuitable housing.  To ensure this, we will ask all the necessary questions of any person who has purchased their housing from another source.  If we have doubts, we do not sell our reptiles.

 We offer a full and extensive range of vivariums, equipment, substrates and live and frozen foods. You will find all the leading brands, such as ExoTerra, Arcadia and Habistat and also books and species-specific care sheets for all the popular breeds which have been written by Ryan, our reptile expert. We offer full advice for everything we sell and back it up with an excellent aftercare service for anyone who has purchased livestock from us.  If you want a full set-up for your new reptile, we will discuss with you exactly what is needed for what one you are buying and we will even set the vivarium up for you with all the necessary equipment so all you have to do is take it home, plug it in and introduce your reptile to its new home.

 Between Graham, one of the owners, and Ryan, our reptile expert, they have over 30 years of experience keeping and breeding many different types of reptiles and it is because of this experience that we can offer such a complete and comprehensive service for anyone wishing to keep reptiles.  The room is staffed 7 days a week, with Ryan, our resident expert in every day except Wednesdays and Saturdays.
